Handcrafted with the care and attention Patisserie Valerie has been known for since 1926, the new range brings together much-loved favourites and exciting new flavour combinations.
Each recipe has been thoughtfully developed, with a focus on carefully selected ingredients and natural colours and flavours, creating cupcakes that let the flavours shine.

More of the good stuff. The new recipes celebrate the flavours people love most, from rich chocolate marshmallow sponge with an indulgent filled centre to Classic Red Velvet and our Raspberry Royale. Brighter pairings such as raspberry & matcha and lemon meringue bring freshness, while Biscoff, Oreo and chocolate orange add a playful twist to the box.

Behind the cupcakes
We went back to the recipes to see what we could do differently. The journey started by reviewing our existing cupcake recipes ingredient by ingredient, looking at where we could make improvements, explore alternatives and move towards more natural ingredients.
But we did not want to simply take things away. We wanted to rethink the recipes and create cupcakes that were less sweet, while still delivering the indulgence, texture and flavour our customers know and love.
From there, we began experimenting with ingredients, sweetness levels and new flavour combinations. Every change was trialled, tasted and refined to make sure we were improving the recipe without compromising the finished cupcake.
Rethinking the frosting
We also asked ourselves: could we create a completely new frosting of our own?
We wanted something lighter, creamier and less sweet that would work beautifully with our new cupcake recipes. So we went back to the drawing board and began developing our own Ermine-style frosting.
There was plenty of experimentation along the way — testing different ingredients, ratios, textures and levels of sweetness before finding the balance we were looking for.
The result is our new lower sugar, natural frosting: silky, creamy and less sweet, with a beautifully balanced finish that lets each cupcake's flavours shine.
From the initial recipe review through to trials, tastings and production testing, every element has been carefully considered and refined. The result is a new generation of Patisserie Valerie cupcakes — less sweet, full of flavour and thoughtfully developed from recipe to finish.
