I purchased this in advance with a nominated weekend delivery ,as a treat to begin our family Christmas celebrations. Little did I know what an important part it would play. Prior to the Black Forest cream tea’s arrival; one family member came down with flu, then another and another. By the time our cream tea arrived, everyone was hit. Yet, this wonderful cream tea was the perfect package of joy we all needed. We decided to tuck into the cherry brownies first and the burst of cherry and chocolate was a heavenly elixir. The following two days, we savoured the cream tea. The tea bags produced a good all round taste and just what we needed. Once we warmed the scones, a touch of clotted cream was added but they were taken to another level when that gorgeous jam was spread - wow! This cream tea was a hit and we will order again when we are back to full strength to celebrate.

Best chocolate cake we have ever had. Light, moist & not too sweet. Arrived through the post in perfect condition.
