Why We Love This

Our Black Forest Gateau is a classic celebration cake that has been part of our handmade cake range since 1926, with its original recipe being created by Madame Valerie herself. Handmade with layers of rich chocolate sponge, whipped cream and dark cherry filling. Coated with dark vermicelli and finished with amarena cherries, dark chocolate shavings and hand piped whipped cream rosettes.

This delicious cake is available for nationwide next day home delivery when you order by 4pm weekdays and 2pm Saturdays. You can get it delivered straight to your front door from our bakery, or you can send a cake gift to a cake lover to let them know you’re thinking of them! The cake is baked fresh and then frozen and packed with dry ice to protect its beautiful appearance during transport, and of course to ensure it tastes as fresh as possible for your celebration. You will need to defrost your cake before consumption, you can do this overnight in the fridge for a minimum of 8 hours. Looking for a cake near you? Good news! The Black Forest Gateau arrived on time and was impeccably packaged. It was frozen and included dry ice, ensuring excellent condition.

After thawing overnight, we enjoyed it the next day for my wifes 50th Birthday celebration. This was one of the finest Black Forest Gateaus we've ever tasted. The sweetness was balanced, and the cream layers were perfect. The cherries were delicious too.
Overall, a fantastic experience. I'll definitely order from Patisserie Valerie again and explore their other cake options.
