I did expect slightly bigger but the cake itself is beautiful. Quite sweet some might say but then that's how I like my cakes. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

Ordered 2 cakes for my twin sons’ 21st birthdays. I was a bit nervous about ordering on-line but I needn’t have been. They arrived on designated day and packaging was perfect - ensuring they were both in good condition for the big event. Cake was delicious (chocolate drip and espresso martini). I would attach pics but they didn’t last very long! 😋 Thank you for taking some of the stress out x

I bought this for my friend for her birthday and we both absolutely loved it, everybody did that tried it? It was definitely a good choice. It looked fantastic but also tasted delicious. Very happy with this cake and would order it again for special occasion. It was also delivered on time and defrosted that day to be eating the following day really good service and definitely definitely will order again in the future.
I ordered this cake for my son’s 3rd birthday, delivery was on time, well packaged, came intact, the taste is magical especially the icing on point, it just melt in your mouth. I gave some to a friend and she made me order one for her daughter’s 3rd birthday. My friend and I are going to order again in march and in April for my girl’s first birthday👌👌👌

This cake was so incredible. I've had black forest gateau cake from supermarkets and it tends to be a little too liquidy, and the taste of the sauce is a bit much, just slightly. This cake was perfectly balanced. It was super soft; softer than a regular sponge type cake as it is a black forest gateau but not so soft that it falls apart; it was just right in terms of texture. The flavour was so good - not too sweet but not at all bland; it was like, you could keep eating it and eat piece after piece and you would never feel like you had eaten too much and you would never feel like you wished it was sweeter. I am thinking about buying another one for no special occasion, just to have one to eat in the evenings. My wife wanted this cake for her birthday but I normally prefer chocolate cake myself but often these end up being too sweet / too heavy. I'm getting this one for my birthday this year.

Delighted with the cake, sponge was light and tasty, the icing was a massive hit with the kids and the macaroons were crispy and delicious! My only ‘complaint’, which has been fed back via email, is the delivery! Despite the box having “this way up” all round it DHL still dumped it on the doorstep of it side! Thankfully no major damage that wasn’t resolved with a pallet knife 😁
Perhaps plastering “FRAGILE- HANDLE WITH CARE” might encourage DHL to treat it a bit better.

We had some problems with the delivery, which was my fault because the address was wrong, but the Valerie Patisserie team was incredible. They always replied to all my emails quickly and sympathetically and made sure my surprise arrived for my boyfriend. It's the best customer service I've ever had and I can't recommend ordering enough!

Ordered for a family wedding. A lovely alternative to a fruit cake.
I was sent a text on the delivery day with a two hour time slot, which they kept to.
The cake arrived well packaged and the venue kept it on their fridge until we needed it and it only needed lifting out of the packaging straight onto a cake stand.
The sponge was light moist and tasted great. I would buy it again and recommend it to anybody. Good value for the cake including delivery.
